The Clarkson University Women's Basketball team embarks on their first and only Liberty League road trip of December, traveling downstate to visit RPI on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Union on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Series: RPI leads the overall matchup between the schools 61-23, splitting the series 1-1 last year. Clarkson's 59-55 win in Troy broke a 10 game losing streak for the Knights dating back to the 2018-19 season. Union also holds an advantage in all-time meetings with a 50-14 record. Key Stats for Clarkson (4-2): The Golden Knights return from Thanksgiving break on a two-game winning stretch capped off with a convincing 63-46 victory over SUNY Potsdam. Bella Doyle (18 points) and Fallon Griffin (15 points) led a shooting effort of 41% from the field for Clarkson while holding the Bears to just 31% shooting overall. Currently outscoring and outrebounding opponents by margins of 8.5 ppg and 8.7 rpg, respectively, the Knights have struggled turning the ball over averaging 20 per game, having had 16 or fewer in just one contest. Doyle leads the team with 14.8 ppg and 7.0 rebounds per game, remaining a cog on the offensive and defensive schemes for the Knights. Griffin (12.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg), is averaging 18 ppg over her last two games with 21 point and 15 point outings versus SUNY Poly and SUNY Potsdam. Key Stats for RPI (5-2): The Engineers are coming off a 53-42 win versus Utica on Monday, rebounding from a 16-2 deficit after the first quarter, the defense forced 28 turnovers while registering 17 steals. Overall RPI is shooting 40% from the field while holding opponents to a 26% mark from three-point range. Junior Sophie Costello leads nine or more players that average above five points per game with 9.3 off the bench, while no one averages over 25 minutes per contest. Tyler Hormazabal has been a leader in numerous categories for the Engineers, the senior's 2.8 assists, 3.1 steals and 24.6 minutes per game are all team-highs.Â
Key Stats for Union (3-1): The Garnet Chargers won their first three games of the 2025-26 campaign before dropping a 56-68 decision to #5 Bowdoin on November 24th, shooting 37% from the field and 53% from the line. The team is shooting 39% from the field overall, while holding opponents to marks of 33% and 29% in field goal and three point percentage. Union averages just 13.3 turnovers a contest, while a mark of 6.3 steals per game leads to an average of 11.3 points off turnovers. Jenea Perovic leads the team as one of two players averaging a double-double. The senior averages 17.3 ppg and 10.5 rpg along with sophomore Oliviva Cunningham with averages of 10.8 ppg and 11 rpg. Grace Ceseretti averages four assists per contest along with 10.3 ppg, the senior dished out 12 versus Middlebury.Â
