To Obtain Working Press Credentials

Press and photograph credentials are issued to members of the working media only. These credentials can be obtained from the athletic communications office or at this link. For men's and women's ice hockey, passes will be available for pick up at the Ticket Office located in Cheel Arena, please use the Will Call Window. For all other sports, please coordinate coverage by contacting The Athletic Communication staff at, 315-268-6958, or jbartell@clarkson.edu. Passes should be requested 48 hours prior to a contest to ensure space availability.  Media accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press who represent a bona fide media organization. Applicants must show they are a professional member of the press with a proven track record of reporting for bona fide media.  

Press Box Facilities/Services at Cheel Arena

The press area at Cheel Arena is located across from the home bench.  A media credential obtained only from the Athletics Communication Department will grant access to the press area.  Per NCAA regulations, only credentialed members of the media, coaches, league officials and designated administrators are allowed into this area. All members of the working media will be provided with each team's game notes (when provided by the visiting team), line charts, and rosters before each contest. To conserve resources, scoring and shot charts will be provided at the end of each period upon request, and a complete statistical package will be distributed immediately following the contest upon request.  A full box score will be available on line as soon as the game has been officially closed by the scorekeeper.

All other venues have little or no press box access, so any coverage will need to be organized through the Athletics Communication Department.

Post-Game Interviews

For Men's & Women's Hockey, all post-game interviews will be conducted in our Media Room located within the Clarkson Hockey Area. A member of the athletic communications staff will assist you in the interview process. Only credentialed members of the working media will be granted access to coaches and players following all contests.  For all other sports, a Clarkson Staff Member can assist with arranging an interview but at no point should anyone not a member of the roster/staff of that specific team attempt to enter the locker room.

Interview Policies

Requests for interviews can be conducted through the Clarkson Athletic Communications office. We will not release an athlete's dorm/cell phone number, we will either set up a zoom interview or connect via email in which time an athlete can determine in which manner they feel comfortable communicating.

Practice Coverage

Clarkson Practices are generally open to the public, but any requests for interviews on practice days should be coordinated with a member of the Clarkson Athletic Communications Staff.

Photography / Video

All footage of Clarkson Athletics captured in any media must be approved by the Athletic Communications Staff before being disseminated to the public.  NO photo's or video's may be sold without the written consent of Clarkson Athletics.  Additionally under the NCAA Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) policy any sales of a Clarkson players image or likeness must be with that athlete's permission and possible compensation
