SOPHOMORE YEAR (2025-26):  Served as an Assistant Captain...became one of the team's top shut down defenseman, skating in all 38 games...Doubled his goal total from 1st season, with 4 goals and 12 assists...40 minutes in penalties...54 blocked shots...Had assists in both wins over Quinnipiac in the ECAC playoffs..Had the game winner in a 3-2 win at Brown.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2024-25):  In his freshman season at Clarkson, Brassington made a smooth transition to college hockey, appearing in 38 games and recording 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists). Known for his poise and smart decision-making, Brassington played a reliable two-way game, finishing the year with a +5 rating and 45 shots on goal...He picked up his first collegiate point early in the season and scored his first goal in a key road win over St. Lawrence in January...Brassington's steady play and strong hockey IQ earned him a regular role on the blue line, and his development throughout the season positions him well for an expanded role in 2025–26. With continued growth, he’s expected to be a key part of Clarkson’s defensive core moving forward.

The back of the Hockey Card:  A left shot defenseman from White Rock, British Columbia…Played in 173 games over 3 seasons with the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL..Had 12 goals and 27 points in the regular season last year and a strong playoffs, scoring 3 goals and 12 assists in 24 games.

Get to know Ty: Son of Heidi and Derek…Has five siblings, Layla, Kade, Lexy, Ryder, Skyler Loves to golf, play tennis, and go hiking…Graduated from Earl Marriott School in 2022…Will start as a Business Studies Major at the Reh School of Business at Clarkson.
