Key Returners: Clarkson has most of its starting lineup back and should be one of the better defensive teams in the region once again. Junior libero Kate Isaksen, an AVCA Third-Team All-American, the ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, and a Liberty League First-Team All-Star, led all of Division III last year with 6.85 digs per set, helping the Golden Knights rank 13th overall in that category in 2017. Seniors Meghan Edmund (2.97 dps) and Kendall Cheval (2.72 dps) also were major contributors on the defensive side, as well as providing a combined offensive presence 2.25 kills per set. The top hitter returning for the Knights is Liberty League All-Star Rachel Reusch. The junior middle hitter averaged 2.65 kills per set with a .317 hitting percentage, as well as 78 total blocks, including 28 solo efforts. Classmate Maddie Bredehoeft is second among returners in kills last year, averaging 1.85 kps, and senior Savannah Peters also chipped in 1.48 kills per set along with 38 blocks. Sophomore Gillian Kurtic also posted solid numbers in limited action, averaging 1.94 kills per set with 19 blocks in just 33 sets. Junior Delaney Harrison and sophomores Amanda Collins, Grace Mayer and Lilianna Mason provided depth and will look to see more time in 2018 with the opening that developed via graduation.

Key Additions: Head coach Carol LaMarche brought in players for virtually all positions to help fill out the roster and several could make an immediate impact. Setter Haley Aud will compete with Collins for the starting spot while first-year middle hitters Ivy Martin and Megan McEwen try to make up for some of the production lost from Rachael Aird, who graduated in December following the 2017 season. Right side Kirsten Liu should contribute on offense as well, and Celestial Barrera-Lopez will add to Clarkson's already formidable back row.
