Biography
Ciara Lang joins Clarkson after developing into one of the Alberta Female Hockey League’s leading offensive defensemen with the Edmonton Jr. Oilers. The 5-foot-5 left-shot defenseman recorded eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points during the 2025–26 season, finishing third among all AFHL skaters in scoring. Her production from the blue line helped Edmonton advance to the league semifinals.
During the 2024–25 season, Lang collected two goals and 13 assists for 15 points in 30 regular-season games before adding two goals and an assist during the AFHL playoffs. She then helped the Jr. Oilers capture the 2025 Esso Cup, Canada’s national women’s under-18 club championship.
The Edmonton, Alberta, native also represented her province at the 2024 Canadian Under-18 Women’s National Championship. Her experience in provincial and national competition complemented three seasons at the U18 AAA level with the Jr. Oilers.
Known for her ability to move the puck, contribute offensively and create opportunities from the blue line, Lang brings championship experience and significant offensive upside to Clarkson. She will wear number 19 as she begins her freshman season with the Golden Knights in 2026–27.
