Biography
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2025-26): Jared Mangan delivered a productive sophomore season for Clarkson, appearing in all 38 games and establishing career highs with eight goals, 12 assists and 20 points. He finished tied for fourth on the team in scoring while recording 61 shots, a plus-one rating and one game-winning goal...Mangan was particularly effective during ECAC Hockey competition, collecting six goals and eight assists for 14 points across 22 conference games. He finished fourth on the team in league scoring, posted a plus-three rating and contributed one power-play goal. His 14 conference points represented a significant portion of his offensive production as he became a consistent presence in Clarkson’s lineup...Mangan’s season high came in the Golden Knights’ 8-7 overtime victory over Union on February 7. He opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season, helping Clarkson earn an important conference win. Two weeks later at Brown, Mangan scored the tying goal during the second period and assisted on Tristan Sarsland’s overtime winner in a 4-3 victory...Mangan closed the regular season with another decisive contribution at Colgate on February 27. He scored an unassisted goal in the second period that stood as the game-winner in Clarkson’s 4-1 road victory. With his offensive growth, reliability and ability to contribute in important situations, Mangan completed a strong sophomore campaign and further established himself as a key part of the Golden Knights’ forward group.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2024-25): Mangan made an immediate impression in his first year with Clarkson, stepping into the lineup for 38 games and posting 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists). A strong skater with offensive instincts, the Charleston, South Carolina native provided reliable depth scoring and proved capable of producing in key moments...Mangan found ways to elevate his game against top ECAC competition. In conference play, he notched 2 goals and 2 assists, including a game-winning goal that highlighted his ability to deliver under pressure. His production was steady throughout the season, giving the Golden Knights a dependable presence in the middle of their forward group...Among his best games of the year was a two-point outing in league play, where he recorded a goal and an assist to spark Clarkson’s offense. He also delivered timely goals in tight, low-scoring contests, showing poise and confidence in big situations. His versatility allowed him to contribute both as a finisher and as a setup option, adding value beyond the scoresheet with his forechecking and work ethic.
