FRESHMAN YEAR (2025-26):  Maël St-Denis delivered a promising freshman season for Clarkson, recording three goals and six assists for nine points across 32 games. The Québec native finished with a plus-one rating, generated 51 shots on goal and blocked 16 shots while adjusting to the pace and physical demands of college hockey. Clarkson’s official statistics also credited him with one power-play goal and one game-tying goal...St-Denis became increasingly productive against conference opponents, collecting two goals and four assists in 18 ECAC Hockey games. His six conference points represented two-thirds of his season total, and he posted a plus-two rating during league play...After missing several games late in the fall semester, St-Denis returned to the lineup and made an immediate impact. He opened the scoring only 1:37 into Clarkson’s 6–2 victory at Niagara, helping the Golden Knights begin the second half with their fifth consecutive win. Later in January, he produced the game-tying power-play goal in a 5–5 draw against St. Lawrence, redirecting Tate Taylor’s pass into the net during the third period...He also contributed to one of Clarkson’s most memorable victories of the season, starting the transition that led to Rémi Gélinas’ second goal in an 8–7 overtime win over Union. St-Denis remained involved during Clarkson’s postseason run and nearly opened the scoring when his shot struck the post in the ECAC semifinal against Dartmouth.

BEFORE CLARKSON:  Maël St-Denis is a left-shooting center hailing from Nominingue, Québec, standing at 6'1", 196 lb. A QMJHL standout with the Rimouski Océanic, he developed into a dynamic two-way pivot known for his skating, faceoff prowess, and playmaking vision. 

Drafted into the QMJHL in 2021, St-Denis has steadily elevated his game over three seasons with Rimouski. In his 2023–24 campaign, he tallied 17 goals and 18 assists in 42 games (35 points, 0.83 PPG), up from 9 goals and 15 assists in 46 games in the 2022–23 season; his rookie 2021–22 season produced 5 goals and 8 assists across 61 games.
