Cory Schneider joined the Clarkson staff in the summer of 2022. Schneider had multiple coaching connections to Clarkson, he was originally recruited by Casey Jones to Ohio State where he was a four-year member of the ice hockey team at Ohio State University from 2008 to 2012, skating in 112 games for the Buckeyes while earning a bachelor of science in business administration. Cory was chosen as team captain in his senior campaign. During his time as a Buckeye, he earned three selections to the Big Ten All-Academic Team as well as the 2010–2011 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. Schneider follows a similar path of the Knights former assistant, Mike Towns, as he replaced Towns at AIC. Schneider spent two seasons with the Yellowjackets where he proved himself to be a tireless recruiter and demonstrated a great ability to communicate with the student athletes. Schneider also has served as an assistant coach at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, from 2017 through the 2019 season. The Beacons won the New England Hockey Conference Regular Season Championship and earned its first-ever berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
