Biography
Bryce Sookro is a 6'1", 223-pound right-shot defenseman from Nelson, British Columbia, known for his offensive instincts, physical presence, and leadership on the ice.
Bryce has been a standout player for the Cranbrook Bucks in the BCHL. In the 2024-25 season, he led all BCHL defensemen with 56 points in 53 games, showcasing his offensive prowess from the blue line. His exceptional performance earned him a spot in the BCHL All-Star Weekend.

Sookro began his junior career with the Nelson Leafs in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL), where he earned both the Rookie of the Year and Top Defenseman honors in 2021–22 . He then joined the Cranbrook Bucks in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), where he played three full seasons. During the 2024–25 season, Sookro led all BCHL defensemen with 56 points (13 goals, 43 assists) in 53 regular-season games and added 7 points in 10 playoff games and served as the team's Captain.
His exceptional performance earned him the BCHL's Top Defenseman Award and a spot on the First Team All-Star roster . Sookro's ability to contribute offensively and defensively, combined with his leadership qualities, make him a valuable addition to the Clarkson Golden Knights.
