In the Liberty League Tournament for the first time since 2022, the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team will face a familiar playoff foe, as the Golden Knights take on Ithaca College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Series: Clarkson beat Ithaca for the first time in program history back in late March, 18-16, thanks to one of the better offensive games in recent memory when Sydney Nakas accumulated 11 points on five goals and six assists. The Golden Knights and Bombers are meeting for the third time in the Liberty League playoffs since 2019, with Ithaca winning 15-8 in 2022 and 25-12 in 2019.  

Key Stats for Clarkson (10-7, 4-6 Liberty League): The Knights and Ithaca are two of the top three offenses in the conference, and it showed during the 34-goal meeting back in March. Gabby Cranfield ranks second in the league in points per game (4.94) and is leading the conference in assists (2.82) for the second straight season. Sydney Nakas has also produced 56 points (25-31-56) while Makenna Cassin leads the team in goals at 42, thanks to 11 scores in the last two contests. Defensively, Mea Tranquilli has 35 caused turnovers and Cassin isn't far behind with 33.

Key Stats for Ithaca (11-5, 7-3 Liberty League): The Bombers have three of the top five scorers in the Liberty League in Leigh Naturale, Kelly Augeri, and Lily Cody. Although Cody is third amongst the trio with 64 points (41-23-64) she likely will be among the top choices for conference midfielder of the year as she also has 112 draws, averaging 7.00 per game, 23 caused turnovers, and 34 groundballs. Naturale has 71 points on 37 goals and 34 assists, ranking second in the league in the latter category behind only Cranfield. Kelly Augeri has produced 68 points on 45 goals and 23 assists, with her 2.81 goals per game ranking sixth in the conference.
