As the business end of the 2025-26 campaign draws near, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team plays host to Ithaca College and RIT, Friday and Saturday at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Series: Clarkson has beaten Ithaca just 19 times in 89 meetings, the Bombers have won seven straight since 2021-22 including a three point win in Ithaca last year, the closest margin of victory since the Knights last win. The all-time series with RIT has been somewhat more even, the Knights go into Saturday looking for the fourth win in a row. An 11-point win in Rochester was followed with a six-point victory in Potsdam in the series sweep last year for the Green and Gold.
Key Stats for Clarkson (6-9, 1-7 Liberty League): The Golden Knights have seen a scoring resurgence from Nate Abernethy over the past three games with the freshman averaging 17.7 points over that timeframe. Braeden Burns continues to lead the team in scoring with a 17.6 per game average, the junior tallied 18 points and eight rebounds in the four-point loss to Skidmore on Saturday.
Key Stats for Ithaca (5-10, 4-4 Liberty League): The Bombers 116-62 drumming of Bard on Saturday was the highest margin of victory (54 points) for the program since 1967. Overall, the team shot 59% (41-75) from the field and 53% (18-34) from three in the win contributing to the highest scoring offense in the Liberty League (81 points per game). Evan Cabral leads the Bombers in scoring with a 19.5 points per game average, the second-highest in the league.
Key Stats for RIT (4-11, 1-7 Liberty League): The Tigers enter the weekend on a five-game losing streak with each of the setbacks being league contests. Mushin Muhammed went off for 28 points against RPI on Saturday including a 6-7 mark from three, the sophomore leads the team averaging 15.9 points per game. Josiah Turner produced a career-high 31 points on Friday versus Vassar, the graduate student ranks just behind Muhammed with 13.9 points per game and a team-best 7.9 rebounds per outing.
