Burns Named Liberty League Rookie of the Week for Fourth Time

First-year collegian Conley Burns of the Clarkson University Volleyball team earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this fall when the conference announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon.

Burns averaged 3.71 kills per set and 3.29 digs per set while hitting .304 over the course of two matches, one in league and one non-conference. She produced 16 kills with 13 digs and a .323 hitting percentage in a four-set loss to Skidmore and then recorded 10 kills and 10 digs in a sweep of Oswego State. For the season, she is averaging 3.25 kills per set with a .187 hitting percentage. Her kills per set ratio is the highest by a freshman at Clarkson since Aishvina Arasu in 2012 and is the second-highest for a first-year in the 25-point set era for the Golden Knights.
