Clarkson Hosts Michigan Tech in Non-Conference Men's Hockey Showdown Tonight at Cheel Arena
POTSDAM, N.Y. – October 31, 2025 — The Clarkson University Men's Hockey team continues its early-season slate with a non-conference matchup tonight against the Michigan Tech Huskies. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. at Cheel Arena, with the game streaming live on ESPN+ and on the radio at B99.3 FM.
The Golden Knights enter the weekend looking to build on the strong weekend split with North Dakota last weekend. Michigan Tech makes the trip east with a 4-2-0 record, riding a strong start in CCHA play. The Huskies split a series with Minnesota and Alaska, then swept Ferris St at home.
Series History
Clarkson and Michigan Tech have a long, respected history on the ice, dating back to the early years of college hockey. These two teams met in the 1962 NCAA Championship game in Utica, NY, a 7-1 Huskies win. The Golden Knights hold the upper hand in recent meetings, winning seven of the last nine matchups between the two programs, including two wins in Houghton last year, 4-1 & 2-1. Clarkson is 8-3-1 all-time against the Huskies and will look to continue that success tonight in front of the home crowd.
