Clarkson exploded for 10 goals in the 3rd period on Saturday to complete the sweep of Saint Michael's, 14-0 was the final score, with 9 different Knights scoring and 15 skaters registering a point in the game.

The Knights would have a 17-3 shot advantage after 20 minutes, but only a 1-0 lead.  Rhea Hicks got her 2nd on the weekend, from Haley Winn and Senna Catterall.  Holly Gruber got the start in net, and turned away all 3 shots in the opening frame.

In the 2nd period, Rebecca Morisette would get her first of the season, just 1:09 in.  Just over a minute later, Jenna Smellie would score her first as a Golden Knight, to make it 3-0.  The Knights would take a 4-0 lead into the break, after Winn would score on the power play at 14:22.

The Knights would explode in the 3rd, with goals from Baylee Kirwan, Anne Cherkowski, Caroline Goffredo, and Sidney Fess, 2 more from Haley Winn to complete her hat trick.  Nicole Gosling, Smellie, and Goffredo would finish out with 2 goals apiece.

The 14 goals sets a new Knights record for goals in a game and the 83 shots bests last nights mark by 1.

Gruber would finish with 9 saves on the afternoon for her 2nd win as a Golden Knight.   Clarkson was 5 for 7 on the power play and killed off the only chance St. Mike's had with the advantage.

The Knights will open the 2024 home portion of the season when they host University of Vermont on Friday and Saturday at Cheel.  Friday will be a 6:00 pm puck drop vs the Cats.
