Playoff Scenario: Clarkson needs a win over Vassar and a Skidmore loss at Ithaca to finish in the top five in the Liberty League. For Vassar it's far more simple: win and you're in. In the case of a Clarkson win over Vassar and a Skidmore victory against Ithaca, Skidmore earns the final spot.

The Series: The Golden Knights are 19-3 all-time against Vassar College, but those three losses have all come since the 2016 season. A season ago, Clarkson used an 8-0 run to start the second half to claim a 16-10 victory at Hantz Field.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-8, 1-5 Liberty League): In the 2023 victory against Vassar, Clarkson had six different goal scorers in its 8-0 run, including a pair from Thomas Fiebich, who enjoyed a big game (5-2-7) versus the Brewers. Senior Matt Szwagulinski also was busy with six groundballs and a caused turnover. Szwagulinski has excelled as of late and moved up to a tie for third in the Liberty League in caused turnovers per game (1.80). The Golden Knights have received distributed goal scoring at the top of their leaderboard, with Matt Reilly (32) barely edging Andrew Kearney (31) and Sebastian Geiger (31) in goal scoring.

Key Stats for Vassar (9-5, 2-4 Liberty League): The Brewers were the lone Liberty League team to not receive any votes in the national polls in the pre-season, but have shown they can play. All five of the team's losses have come against nationally-ranked opponents and Vassar is a perfect 5-0 at home. Solomon Hess is once again leading the conference in caused turnovers (39), a category he topped in 2023 and came in as the runner-up in 2022. TJ Carl is the top goal scorer for the team (25), but Troy Santise (22-28-50) and Ian Zumpano (22-13-35) have exceeded his point total while also serving as goal-scoring threats.
