What once was going to be a matchup against a branch of the Jeff Gorski coaching tree is now simply the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team's final contest of 2024 as the team takes on Alfred State on Tuesday.

The Series: Although Clarkson has played Alfred College roughly 90 times over the years, this is only the second game ever against Alfred State, as former Clarkson assistant Jack Dignan was there for two seasons before moving on to SUNY Purchase. The Golden Knights defeated the Pioneers 73-65 in November 2019.

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-4): Sophomore Steve DeRegis has made more 3-pointers (30) than any other player in the Liberty League and averages 3.3 makes per game from beyond the arc. Nearly 75% of his points (90 of 126) come from deep through the first nine games of the 2024-25 season. The Golden Knights rank second in the Liberty League in rebounding margin (+5.6 rpg) thanks to forwards Finn Cork, Braeden Burns, and Jack Dalgety.
