Knights host SLU in 221st edition of the Rt. 11 Rivalry

The North Country is heating up for rivalry weekend between Clarkson and St. Lawrence.  The two teams will face off for the 221st time in the historic series that started back in 1926.

Clarkson comes into the game after a 4 point weekend vs Yale and Brown, a 5-3 win over Yale on Friday and a 3-2 ot loss to Brown on Saturday.  The Knights sit in a 2nd place tie in the ECAC with still the fewest game played.  The Saints come in winners of their last two and 7-12-3 overall and in 7th place in the ECAC.

The Knights will have the same line up as they did last weekend, still missing some key components up front, including Ryan TaylorAyrton Martino has taken the lead in points with 16, while Ryan Richardson's 6 points in the last 3 games has him as the teams 2nd leading point producer.  Trey Taylor leads the team in shots taken (61), blocked shots (42), +/- at +17 and 2nd in penalty minutes (23).

The overall series between Clarkson and St. Lawrence, which dates back 98 years, has the Knights leading 133-75-12.  Last season the Saints swept the series with a pair of 4-2 wins.
