Clarkson will look to force a game three as they face Cornell tonight after a 2-1 loss last night at Lynah Rink.
Clarkson went down early on a power play goal during a 5-minute major. The Knights then fell behind 2-0 early in the 3rd but fought back to make it 2-1 on Mathieu Goeeslin's 14th goal of the season. The Knights continued to pressure the Big Red. With the goal off for the extra attacker, Clarkson had the puck with under 10 seconds,
Trey Taylor got a shot off that was blocked in the crease,
Ryan Richardson grabbed the rebound and shot it into the net, but the review determined it went in after time had expired. Â
The Knights were outshot in the first period but owned the shot advantage in the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Tonight's game is a must-win for the Knights, as it is a best-of-three series. Clarkson has pushed 3 of the 5 quarterfinal series they have played at Cornell to a game three and have won 1 of the 3 series that went to that final game.Â
Tonight's game can be streamed on ESPN+ and heard on B99.3 FM
