The Series: Clarkson's opponents this weekend are at opposite ends of the spectrum in regards to their ways to success. Ithaca has the highest scoring average in the Liberty League (and posted 99 points against the Knights in the first meeting of 2023) while the Engineers are among the best defensive teams in the country (limiting Clarkson to 48 points three weeks ago).

Key Stats for Clarkson (9-12, 6-8 Liberty League): Despite playing better as of late, the Golden Knights need a lot to go right to make the conference tournament this year due to no team running away with the conference. The Knights trail by two games from the sixth spot in the conference standings, but have won three straight. Blake Gearhart averaged 20.0 points per game last week and has scored in double digits in eight straight contests, where he has shot 56.4% from the floor. The difference between RPI and Clarkson the first time around came at the free throw line, as the Engineers made 16 free throws in 24 attempts and the Knights scored on six of their seven attempts.

Key Stats for Ithaca (15-6, 11-3 Liberty League): The highest scoring team in the conference, the Bombers can clinch a first-round bye for the conference tournament this weekend with two wins and just minor help around the league. Ithaca leads the conference in 3-pointers made with 197 as Luka Radovich (42), Logan Wendell (42), and Zach Warech (40) are all among the conference leaders. Radovich is the team's top scorer at 17.6 points per game while Wendell also averages double figures at 14.3 ppg. Radovich also contributes 7.7 rebounds per contest and is shooting 48.6% from the floor.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (15-6, 9-5 Liberty League): The Engineers rank fifth in the nation in points allowed per game at 58.1 ppg and are also in the top 20 in opponents' field goal percentage (17th, 38.5%) and 3-point field goal defense (16th, 28.2%). Dom Black, a two-time Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year, leads the team in scoring at 13.3 points per game while also adding 6.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. Jonny Angbazo is next at 13.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while Avery Eugster contributes 10.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per contest.
