Led by two-goal efforts from both
Alex Campbell and
Ayrton Martino and 4 assists from
Mathieu Gosselin Clarkson came away with an important 4-3 win over Cornell and Lynah Rink last night and are now winners of 2 straight, look to make moves in the standings with a team that sits just ahead of them in the ECAC standings.
Colgate won in overtime last night vs St. Lawrence, which allowed Clarkson to make up ground on both teams, now sitting 4 points behind SLU and 5 behind Colgate. Â
In ECAC playoff seeding, the Knights have clinched the 10th seed, and can finish as high as 4th. A win in regulation tonight can then help move the Knights closer to clinching the 7 seed (the final home preliminary playoff spot). A win in regulation can also help pull Clarkson to within 2 points of Colgate and pending the outcome of Cornell & SLU, within a point of SLU.
Clarkson topped Colgate earlier this season 4-0 at Cheel.
