The Series: Clarkson has won 40% of its games against Skidmore (24-36) but the Thoroughbreds have won four straight dating back to the end of the 2020 season. The all-time matchup against RPI is longer with Saturday's game being the 120th all-time meeting. Clarkson has won 36 times but has lost eight straight, with the last victory being a 102-92 overtime contest at the end of the 2018 season.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-1, 0-0 Liberty League): The Knights have had five different leading scorers in five games, all in different fashions. Finn Cork was the latest with a 34-point, 15-rebound effort against SUNY Potsdam nearly two weeks ago, putting his averages at 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Ryan Miles-Ferguson has been in double figures four times and leads the team at 16.8 points per contest, and Braeden Burns is averaging 14.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest, with his averages jumping considerably in the last three contests as he has produced 21.0 ppg over that stretch. Matteo Sinon is also contributing across the board with 13.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

Key Stats for Skidmore (2-3, 0-0 Liberty League): History can be thrown out the window for Friday's contest, as Skidmore has virtually a new team compared to last year's squad. The Thoroughbreds start four freshman and a sophomore, and the second-year player Joey Skoric averaged less than 10 minutes per game a year ago. Charlie Fantom leads the team in scoring at 18.8 points per game and has averaged 21.7 over his last three contests. Freshman Nick Padilla is also tossing in 10.4 points per game off the bench.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (2-3, 0-0 Liberty League): The Engineers have struggled mightily from the 3-point arc so far, shooting just 19.0% (16-for-84) from deep in the first five games and just 12.5% (6-for-48) over the last three contests. The team is also shooting just 58.5% from the free throw line, though that figures is skewed considerably by a 7-for-24 performance against SUNY Delhi. Jonny Angbazo leads the team with 20.8 points per game on 55.9% shooting and has scored 26 points or more three times. Dylan Matchett is also chi9pping in 11.0 points per contest.
