The Series: The Golden Knights have lost 12 straight against the Statesmen, with their last victory coming in the 2015 Liberty League Tournament semifinals. Against RIT, Clarkson was swept a year ago with each game decided by seven points. Prior to last season, the two teams had split the season series for three straight years.

Key Stats for Clarkson (5-9, 2-5 Liberty League): During Clarkson's recent losing streak, all but one game has been decided by single digits, and three of the last four games were one-possession games in the final 90 seconds. Ryan Miles-Ferguson ranks fifth in the Liberty League in scoring at 16.2 points per game, while Blake Gearhart is producing 4.1 assists per game, putting him on track to become the first Clarkson player to register 100 assists in a season since Liam Ellis in 2017-18. Sophomore Jack Dalgety ranks fourth on the team in scoring at 8.1 points per game, but that number reaches double digits (10.3 ppg) in conference-only contests.

Key Stats for Hobart (8-7, 4-4 Liberty League): Senior Jackson Meshanic is enjoying an outstanding campaign, averaging 21.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game and shooting 57.6% from the floor and 54.5% from beyond the 3-point arc. He has scored 20 or more points in six of the last seven contests and has 10 double-doubles in 2022-23. Patrick Walker (11.1 ppg) and Carter Meshanic (10.4 ppg) are the only other two players averaging double figures, but each had their season-high in points this past weekend, with Carter Meshanic scoring 23 on Friday and Walker tallying 19 on Saturday. The Statesmen have a deficit in turnovers of minus-59, close to a differential of four per game.

Key Stats for RIT (7-7, 3-4 Liberty League): The Tigers have three players scoring in double figures, but more impressively, each of them is shooting 50% from the floor or better. Kevin Ryan ranks among the conference leaders in both points (17.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.7 rpg) while shooting 60.8% from the floor. Ryan has scored in double figures in all 14 contests this season. Andrew Fox is next on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game, though that number has been bolstered recently thanks to Fox averaging 17.0 per contest over his last five. Matt Caggiano is also in double figures at 10.7 points per game.
