The Clarkson Golden Knights capped off a great post-Christmas set of games with a 3-1 win over Wisconsin to capture their 4th straight in-season tournament.
Clarkson was able to strike first when
Chris Klack converted off a turnover to beat Wisconsin's Jared Moe at 8:35 of the 1st period.
The Knights would make it a 2-0 lead when
Anthony Romano rifled home a one-timer on the power play, giving him his third goal of the tournament, at 6:32 of the 2nd period.
The Badgers would pull within 1 goal late in the 2nd period, but the Knights shut the door defensively in the 3rd and Wisconsin native,
Erik Bargholtz would tap in an empty net goal to seal the win for the Knights.
Ethan Haider would finish with 29 saves, including 10 in the 3rd to get the win.
Clarkson was 1 for 5 with the power play and held Wisconsin to o for 4 on the man advantage.
The Knights are now 9-8-2, above .500%, and will head to Holy Cross for their final non-conference game of the season next Saturday, Jan. 7th.
