For the first time in nearly two weeks, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team will be back in action as the team hosts its Liberty League openers this weekend against Skidmore College and Union College at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Series: Against Skidmore, the Knights are 24-34, with the last win coming on the road in 2019-20. Versus Union, Clarkson is 30-45, having split last season's series with the Dutchmen, claiming a victory at home during the campaign's final weekend.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-2, 0-0 Liberty League): Senior Ryan Miles-Ferguson enjoyed some success against both of this weekend's opponents last year, as he had a 22-point, 7-rebound effort in a narrow loss at Skidmore, and averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists versus Union. Miles-Ferguson is shooting 52.4% from the floor through four games, averaging 15.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Garret Delaney is contributing 11.3 points per game in less than 18 minutes per contest off the bench, and Finn Cork has also been solid in limited time, shooting 56.0% from the field with averages of 8.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Key Stats for Skidmore (2-3, 0-0 Liberty League): The Thoroughbreds are led by Tautvydas Kupstas, who is averaging 22.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Kupstas gets to the free throw line regularly, having already gone 26-for-32 from the line. Point guard Riley Greene has already posted a triple-double and double-double through five games this year and is producing 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per contest. Harrison Eichelberger (12.2 ppg) and Mark Engel (10.2 ppg) also average double figures, with most of Engel's points coming from long-range as he is shooting 12-for-26 from the 3-point arc. Mike Manley is averaging 21.4 points per game thanks to 19 3-pointers, while the rest of the team is shooting 12-for-44 (27.3%). Brian Noone has solid numbers with 13.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while Justin Regis is averaging 8.2 points and 4.0 assists per contest. Last season, Regis has the Knights' number, as he averaged 19.0 points per contest in the two meetings. Union has had some trouble on the defensive end, allowing 85.6 points per contest, with opponents' shooting 40.8% from the 3-point line and 50.3% overall.
