After a 4-3 overtime win last night, Clarkson was unable to find their stride on Saturday and dropped a 5-1 decision to Lake Superior State.
Â
The Knights would fall behind 2-0 in the first period, a period in which the Knights out shot the Lakers 8-5.Â
Clarkson would give up 2 more in the 2
nd period, one on the man advantage. Clarkson would hold LSSU to only 1 goal on the power play but had to kill off 9 attempts by Lake State.Â
Special teams would play a role in the rest of the game's scoring, as
Trey Taylor would get a power play goal at 10:25 of the 3
rd, for Taylor, his first as a Golden Knight.Â
With the extra attacker on and on a power play, the Knights would surrender a short handed goal to Lake State to seal the win.Â
Ethan Haider would make 16 saves on 20 shots faced. Credit
Jordan Power with an assist on the Taylor goal.
Â
The Knights will begin ECAC play next week as they host Union and welcome back former Associate Coach and now Dutchman Head Coach, Josh Hauge.Â
