Clarkson hosts Mercyhurst tonight at Cheel in game #1 of a weekend series that will headline the Family Weekend activities on campus.  

Clarkson will come in on good rest has they had only the 1 game at Providence 8 days ago.  Clarkson has dropped 3 games to Hockey East foes so far, and will look to get their offense going tonight against the Atlantic Hockey opponent.  Mercyhurst comes into the weekend also seeking it's first win, they been swept at the hands of Ohio St, Penn St, and RPI.  

Clarkson has averaged 2.33 goals per game so far, while Mercyhurst has allowed 4.5 goals per game.  The Knights will look to improve on the penalty kill where they are 5 for 10, against a Lakers power play that is 1 for 18 on the season.  

Clarkson leads the all time series 8-1 vs Mercyhurst, sweeping the last two meetings in Erie during the COVID shortened 20-21 season (4-3 ot & 6-2)
