Clarkson got their first win of 2022 behind a 6-0 first period in which the line of Callin, Richardson, & Santerno accounted for 4 of the 6 goals.
Anthony Callin, who has been out most of the first semester with injury started the Knights off at 3:25 with his first of the season.
Ryan Richardson made it 2-0 at 7:17 of the first. Then
Luke Santerno got his first of two goals on the night at 9:41 on the power play.
Zach Tsekos completed a beautiful 2 on 1 rush with
Ayrton Martino to make it 4-0 and the rout was on.
The Knights would get goals from
Jordan Power,
Alex Campbell, &
Ayrton Martino to push the lead to 8-0. Union would get two power play goals in the third, but Clarkson finished off with an 8-2 win for their 5th ECAC win of the season.
Jacob Mucitelli, making his first start as a Golden Knight was untested thru 2 periods making 8 saves, but stood tall in the 3rd facing 11 shots, for his first win of his career.
Clarkson will face RPI tomorrow at 5:00 as a make up from the game that was slated to be on Friday night.
