The Series: Although St. Lawrence has won twice as many games as Clarkson in the all-time series, under head coach Jeff Gorski the Golden Knights are 7-5 against the Saints. The two teams split a year ago, with each team winning close games at home.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-3): Junior Chris Hulbert average 25.0 points per game last season against the Saints, tossing in 29 in Clarkson's home victory and recording 21 against the Saints in Canton. Over the course of those two contests, Hulbert went 13-for-25 from beyond the 3-point arc (52.0%). Classmate Reese Swedberg was within a basket of consecutive double-doubles against the Saints, posting 15 points and 16 rebounds in the win and 8 points and 13 boards in the loss. Hulbert leads the team in scoring this season at 14.2 points per game, just a basket ahead of sophomore Blake Gearhart (14.0 ppg). Jason Phelps is also averaging double figures at 12.8 points per contest. Clarkson's 3-point field goal percentage took a hit after the team struggled in Rochester on Sunday, dropping from 41.2% on the season to 37.7%, though the Knights have made at least 11 3-pointers in four of the five games this year.

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (0-0): The Saints have endured delays to their season, but are ready to get this game in to celebrate the accomplishments of senior Brandon Arnold, who started all 25 games  last season and averaged 7.8 points per contest. Junior Luke Hicks has enjoyed some big games against the Golden Knights in his two seasons at St. Lawrence. He started off slow in his freshman season when he was held scoreless and accounted for four rebounds, but in three games since he has averaged 23.0 points per game. In the first meeting a year ago, Hicks had 23 points and 15 rebounds in the 81-78 loss to the Knights. Unlike the women's team, which is represented almost entirely by freshmen, the men's team has six returners and two freshmen.
