Triolet's Two Wins Headlines Clarkson Swimming & Diving at Skidmore

Saratoga Springs, NY – Freshman Bella Triolet won two events and junior Paige Fronczak won the 50 freestyle along with two runner-up finishes but the Clarkson University Women's Swimming & Diving team came up short against Skidmore College on Sunday, falling 160-131.

The Golden Knights will participate in the University of Rochester Invitational this coming week, with events occurring on Thursday and Sunday.

Triolet once again took first in a pair of events, taking top honors in the 200 butterfly (2:25.17) and 200 backstroke (2:19.96). Fellow freshman Claudia Scala also earned a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke, pacing the field with a time of 1:04.26.

Fronczak finished first in the 50 freestyle (26.35 seconds) but had to settle for second in both the 100 freestyle (57.98) and 200 freestyle (2:03.69). Taylor Lee also had two second-place finishes, swimming the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.72 and the 100 butterfly in 1:04.29. Sophomore Maddie Nowicki gained two runner-up showing as well, coming in second in the 200 butterfly (2:27.09) and 500 freestyle (5:42.45).

Clarkson closed out the day with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay thanks to the team of Taylor lee, Madison Tabor, Shannon Glor, and Paige Fronczak. The foursome combined for a time of 1:46.13.
