Knights Drop Dual Meet at Nazarth, 168.5-113.5

Rochester, NY - Freshman Bella Triolet won the 200 backstroke and also took first-place points in the 100 butterfly but the Clarkson University Women's Swimming & Diving team came up short at Nazareth College, falling in a dual meet 168.5 to 113.5 on Friday afternoon.

Triolet took first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2 minutes, 34.46 seconds, and also placed second earlier in the day in the 200 butterfly in 2:41.06. Near the tail end of the the meet, the first-year collegian also collected first-place points in the 100 butterfly in 1:12.24. 

Sophomore Madelyn Nowicki and junior Taylor Lee also earned first-place points late in the meet, with Nowicki finishing the 400 freestyle in 4:59.96 and Lee closing out her 200 individual medley race in 2:41.40. Earlier in the meet, Nowicki came in second in the 800 freestyle (10:14.84) and Lee was second in both the 100 breaststroke (1:20.65) and 200 breaststroke (2:58.02). 

Clarkson had a few other runner-up finishes as well when junior Paige Fronczak took second in the 50 freestyle (28.46 seconds) and 100 freestyle (1:02.31).
