Clarkson, behind goals from
Brian Hurley and
Alex Campbell, topped Colgate 2-1 and continued their unbeaten streak.
The Knights took the lead at 13:53 of the first, when
Brian Hurley was able to get a shot thru traffic and behind Carter Gylander.
Colgate was able to tie the game mid way thru the second, but
Alex Campbell gave the Knights the lead for good at 17:10 of the 2nd. For Campbell it was his 6th goal in his last 8 games.
The third period finished with a tense final few minutes as Colgate pulled their goalie for the attacker and then got a power play with :45 seconds left in the game when Gosselin went off for tripping. The penalty kill was able to close the game out for the Knights.
Clarkson was 0 for 4 on the power play, but held the Raiders 0 for 3 on the penalty kill.
Ethan Haider finished with 30 saves on the night.
Clarkson will face off with Cornell in what could bring the Knights into a tie for first place with a regulation win.
