Clarkson skated to a 1-1 draw with Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in Madison, WI tonight.
After no scoring through two periods of play,
Nick Campoli got his second goal in as many games on a great feed from
Jordan Power. Power, from within his own zone, hit Campoli as he was streaking thru the Neutral Zone and he was able to beat both Badger D to the net and put the Knights up 1-0.
Clarkson seemed to be wearing Wisconsin down, but the Badgers, a desperate team having lost 5 straight, were able to tie the game late. Clarkson had a good chance late in regulation when Romano and Martino were in on a odd man rush, but unable to convert.
The overtime of 3 on 3 hockey saw a spectacular blocker save by
Ethan Haider, who finished with 33 saves.
Both teams will be back on the ice tomorrow, face-off is set for 6:00 pm central / 7:00pm eastern.
