Michigan Tech comes into their 100th season with 3 National Championships to their credit in 13 NCAA appearances.  The Huskies have won 8 Conference titles, 8 Tournament Titles, along with nearly 50 NHL players and 3 alumni that have hoisted the Stanley Cup.

The Golden Knights have been one of the most consistent programs for the last century.  1499 wins is the 7th most all time in NCAA Div. I and their winning percentage of 586% is good for 4th best in NCAA Div. I all time.  Clarkson has made 23 NCAA appearances, won 10 ECAC Regular Season Titles, 6 ECAC Tournament Titles, 40 All Americans, 6 Stanley Cup Winners, and 76 out of 99 winning season.

The Tech vs Tech matchup started back in 1962 when MTU beat Clarkson in the National Championship Game in Utica, NY.  The two teams met again in the NCAA Tournament in 1970 when Clarkson beat Michigan Tech 4-3 in Lake Placid to advance to the NCAA Title Game.

Tonight will mark the 8th time these teams have faced off, Clarkson owning a 4-2-1 advantage.
