Ranked 5th/6th in the national polls with a 6-1-2 overall record, the Golden Knights will play at Rensselaer on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. to close out their weekend in the Capital District. Sophomore Marie-Pier Coulombe (Carignan, QUE) made 14 saves for her second straight shutout, improving to 4-1-1 on the year. Coulombe has not allowed a goal in her last 150:18 of action. After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Clarkson got on the scoreboard with a pair of second-period goals with junior Elizabeth Giguere (Quebec City, QUE) connecting for her 60th career goal at 3:23. Senior assistant captain Taylor Turnquist (Blaine, MN) followed with a power-play tally at 7:20. The Knights added two more scores in the final period with junior Kristy Pidgeon (Ingleside, ONT) scoring at 4:04 and senior Michaela Pejzlova (Pardubice, Czech Rep.) netting a power-play marker at 18:35. Senior captain Ella Shelton (Ingersol, ONT) and freshmen Gabrielle David (Drummondville, QUE) and Brooke McQuigge (Bowmanville, ONT) recorded two assists each in the win.
