Over the next 10 days the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team will get to shoot in its own friendly confines of Alumni Gymnasium with the hopes that the run of home games can vault the team back into playoff contention. Clarkson opens up the five-game home stand against RIT and Hobart this weekend.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series vs. RIT: The first scheduled meeting between the two teams was snowed out so Clarkson will now face the Tigers on February 1 and February 12. Clarkson trails in the all-time series 34-49, but has won three of the last four and is 12-2 since RIT joined the Liberty League in the 2011-12 season.

The Series vs. Hobart: The Statesmen have won 25 more than they have lost against Clarkson, winning 78 times to the Knights' 53. Hobart is currently on a seven-game winning streak against the Knights, including a 78-67 victory back in mid-January.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-13, 3-7 Liberty League): The return home for the Knights could be a huge boost for moral and consistency as Clarkson is shooting 35.6% from the 3-point line at home and only 29.9% when away from Alumni Gymnasium. Three of the five best 3-point totals for the Knights have come at home as well, which becomes more impressive when considering that Clarkson has played just six of its 17 games on its home court.

Key Stats for RIT (4-13, 1-9 Liberty League): The Tigers lack a go-to scorer, with only Will Atkinson averaging double figures (10.4 ppg). Atkinson (20 points, 11/17/2018) and Jaymee Rosser (24 points, 1/2/2019) are the only two players to score 20 points in a game this year for the Tigers and over the last eight games the single-game high for any RIT player is just 17 points. The Tigers are playing better as of late, claiming their lone win in conference play against RPI and narrowly dropping games to second-place St. Lawrence (55-54) and third-place Hobart (65-60).

Key Stats for Hobart (12-7, 9-3 Liberty League): In the first game between the two teams, Jamal Lucas recorded a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 8-for-11 from the floor. Lucas, however, has struggled in his last three games, shooting just 11-for-38 (28.9%) and 0-for-8 from the 3-point arc. Even if Lucas continues in his modest slump, Hobart has plenty of other weapons, including team-leading scorer Colin Dougherty (17.4 ppg) and Tucker Lescoe (13.0 ppg). Edens Fleurizard also had a double-double (14 pts, 14 rebs) against Clarkson in the first meeting, and he is one of the most efficient scorers in the conference. Fleurizard has posted 186 points on just 175 shots (112 field goal attempts, 63 free throws) without the benefit of a 3-point attempt.
