CU Baseball Preview - at Vassar College (4/13-14)

Rain and snow in the forecast made this weekend's games between Vassar College and the Clarkson University Baseball team a questionable task for Jack Phillips Stadium, so the series was moved to Poughkeepsie for Friday and Saturday.

The Series: Clarkson has won four out of every five games against the Brewers dating back to Vassar's pre-Liberty League days. In more recent years, the Golden Knights are 8-1, losing just once during the four-game set in 2016. Key Stats for Vassar (10-7, 6-2 Liberty League): The Brewers are minimizing their mistakes this year, fielding an incredible .974 overall. The Brewers' pitchers therefore have some very true earned run averages. Max Spencer has an ERA of 1.05 in 25.2 innings of work, allowing hitters only a .482 OPS (.178/.282/.200) with just two extra-base hits (both doubles).
