After three weeks off the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team will look to close out 2018 on a positive note as the Golden Knights hope to add one to the win column against SUNY Canton this Sunday.

The Series: The Golden Knights have won eight of the 10 games in the all-time matchup, losing twice during the 2015-16 season as their only defeats. Clarkson won by 20 points at home two years ago and then downed the Kangaroos by 26 in Canton last year.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-9): The Golden Knights have taken nearly twice as many 3-pointers as their opponents (317 to 161), but Clarkson is shooting only 28.7% from beyond the 3-point arc, a figure that is 10 percentage points lower than the Knights rate from a year ago. No player for the Knights is averaging more than 25 minutes played per game, with freshman Reese Swedberg topping the list with 24.3 minutes per contest. Fellow freshman Chris Hulbert is the team's leader in scoring at 11.0 points per game, doing so in fewer than 20 minutes per game (19.6 mpg). Key Stats for SUNY Canton (6-5): The Roos ended the first semester on a roll, winning five of their last seven games. Junior Robert Holiday is averaging 14.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, shooting 51.6% overall and 47.7% from beyond the 3-point arc (21-for-44). Seniors Jordan Stewart and Brandon Adkisson rank second and third, respectively, in scoring for Canton (11.6 ppg, 10.4 ppg). Stewart, Adkisson and sophomore Danny Santana have boosted Canton's free throw shooting to a team rate of 74.5% overall as the trio has combined to shoot 83-for-95 (87.4%). The Roos deficiencies come in the way of turnovers (18.0 tpg) and in 3-point field goal defense (38.3%).
