CU Men's Soccer Preview - at Skidmore College (10/18)

After Wednesday evening's game, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team will be road warriors no more as the Golden Knights will get to play their final three games of the season at home. However, the tilt against the Thoroughbreds is a key conference game for the Golden Knights as they look to firm up a Liberty League playoff berth.

LIVE STATS/LIVE VIDEO

The Series: Clarkson has won 11 times in 30 meetings against Skidmore, but the Thoroughbreds have owned the match up in the last 14 years, winning 13 and tying once. Seven of the games were decided by one goal or less. Clarkson's last victory came in 2002 when the Knights came away with a 3-2 win in overtime.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-6-1, 2-3-1 LL): Perhaps no team has a more diverse scoring list than the Golden Knights as 10 different players have scored at least one goal for Clarkson. Kevin Calnan leads the team with five markers and Mack Walton has also scored twice, along with three assists, but all eight other players have scored once.

Key Stats for Skidmore (5-1-6, 1-0-5 LL): The Thoroughbreds have played in seven overtime games this season, and every one of their league games has gone to double overtime, including its 2-1 win against Union. Augustine Okoye leads the conference in shots (58) and does not take them indiscriminately, also leading the Liberty League in goals (8) and overall scoring (18 points).
