Annandale-on-Hudson, NY - With a cornucopia of offensive options, sophomore setter Lani Durio (Austin, TX) delivered 31 assists as the Clarkson University Volleyball team hit .390 in a three-set victory over Bard College, 25-12, 25-7, 25-16, Friday evening to open their first Liberty League conference weekend of the season.

The Golden Knights improved to 15-0 on the season, the most victories without a loss in all of Division III Volleyball. Clarkson will look to maintain its unblemished mark against RIT and Vassar on Saturday afternoon.

Durio ran the offense well, as usual, and also led the Golden Knights with seven service aces. Freshman Kristen Orlandini (Fairport, NY) also added four aces in Clarkson's 16-ace attack.

Senior Sara Artus (St. Regis Falls, NY) crushed 15 kills with just one error in 23 swings (.609 hitting percentage), while classmate Megan Mahon (Irvine, CA) and freshman Adrienne Walker (Centennial, CO) each struck for eight kills with two errors in 13 swings (.462 hitting percentage). Sophomore Erika Chin (Katy, TX) led the Knights with nine digs.

"I thought we attacked the ball well today, but were sloppy in other areas of the game," head coach Johan Dulfer said. "Bard played inspired defense towards the end of the match, and it rattled us a little bit at times. We’re happy to have our second conference win and look forward to moving on to tomorrow."
