Potsdam, NY - Two offensive-laden games created some interesting late game situations as the Clarkson University Baseball team held off Union College in the first game, 14-9, and in the second game, 20-8, despite some adverse playing conditions as the sun fell behind the clouds for the final innings of the six-and-a-half hour doubleheader at Jack Phillips Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Knights moved to 9-7 overall and 5-1 in the Liberty League and have won five straight conference contests. Union dropped to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the league. The two teams are scheduled for another doubleheader on Sunday starting at 12:00 noon.
