Knights Split Last Dual Meet of Season Versus Utica

Utica, NY - Matt Ulsh (Rochester, MN) and Dan Evans (New Lebanon, NY) each won a pair of events to help lead the Clarkson University Swim team to a dual meet victory over Utica College, winning the men's side 125-82, but dropping the women's match 121-104.

The Golden Knights will not swim again until the state meet in the middle of February.

Ulsh won both the 100 butterfly (55.78) and the 200 individual medley (2:09.49), while Evans won the 200 freestyle (1:56.53) and 500 freestyle (5:19.24). Several other Knights won individual events as well, including Tom Manzo (Liverpool, NY), who won the 1000 freestyle (11:09.60), Corey Van Woert (Binghamton, NY), who won the 50 freestyle (23.14), Tyler Mokay (Liverpool, NY), who came in first in the 100 freestyle (53.65), and Bob Stevens (Lakewood, NY), who claimed first in the 100 backstroke (57.60).

On the women's side, five different swimmers won an individual event. Kristen Larsen (Fort Edward, NY) won the 100 breaststroke (1:13.53), Nicole Pera (Jamison, PA) came in first in the 100 backstroke (1:09.35), Robyn Stone (Potsdam, NY) placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:28.94), Laura Shaddak (Oswego, NY) won the 50 freestyle (26.55), and Katie Bragan (Auburn, NY) won the 1000 freestyle in 11:47.81.
