Rochester, NY - A 26-6 run in the first 12 minutes cleared the way for an easy 92-69 win for RIT against the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team on Sunday afternoon at Clark Gym.
The Golden Knights dropped to 1-3 overall after losing both games over the holiday weekend. RIT improved to 2-0.
Clarkson trailed by 20 points, 49-29, at the half, and fell behind by as many as 29 points before pulling to within 23 for the final margin. Junior forward Elson Pickering (Brooklyn, NY) matched his season-high with 21 points, shooing 8-for-10 from the field, Sophomore Brandon Linton (Queens, NY) added in nine points and five assists.
Four different players scored in double figures for RIT, and 14 of the 16 players who saw the court scored.
