HARRISON TALLIES CAREER-HIGH IN WIN OVER SKIDMORE

Saratoga Springs, NY - Victims of second-half comebacks in two of the last three games, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team held on for a 79-65 Liberty League victory over Skidmore on Friday night.

The Golden Knights moved their record to 5-17 overall and 2-9 in the Liberty League while Skidmore dropped to 4-17 and 1-10. Both of Clarkson's conference wins have come over the Thoroughbreds this season.

EJ Harrison (Troy, NY) recorded his 16 of his career-high 23 points in the second half, shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free throw line. The Golden Knights enjoyed a 12-point lead at the break and kept the Thoroughbreds at a comfortable distance through the second half as the lead never dropped below seven points in the final 20 minutes.

Along with his 23 points, Harrison also contributed 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in 32 minutes. Junior guard Erick Vigansky (Kenosha, WI) scored 14 points and added eight rebounds reaching double figures in points for the third straight game and for the fifth time in the past six contests. Russ Vitallo (Dracut, MA) also added 17 points and 3 blocks for the Golden Knights.

Jonah Haviland-Markowitz scored 23 points to lead Skidmore, making 12 of his 13 free throw attempts. Rich Toni also scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Thoroughbreds.
