KNIGHTS END SOCCER SEASON WITH 4-0 DEFEAT AT #17 PSU

Plattsburgh, NY – In his first career start, freshman Mike St. Croix (Watertown, NY) stopped 13 shots in 90 minutes, but the Clarkson University Men’s Soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to 17th-ranked Plattsburgh State Saturday afternoon to end the regular season.

The Golden Knights ended the 2005 season with a 3-11-3 overall record while the Cardinals improved to 17-1.

St. Croix proved to be a solid goalkeeper through the first half as the Cardinals, despite outshooting Clarkson 12-0, could muster only one goal off a penalty kick. Plattsburgh State did add three goals in the second half as they continued to dominate play with a 19-2 advantage in shots.
