Potsdam, NY – Senior Jen Faucett (Charlton, NY) won three individual events, including two freestyle events, as the Clarkson University Swim teams picked up a pair of dual meet victories against Potsdam State Saturday afternoon at Fuller Pool.
The Golden Knights were victorious on the men’s side 107-66 and the women defeated the Bears 120-101.
Faucett came in first in the 100 and 200 freestyle events and finished in the top spot in the 100 butterfly. Also picking up two victories for Clarkson was Sarah Morris (Amherst, NY), as she placed first in the 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle. Other individual winners for Clarkson were sophomore Emily MacWilliams (Watkins Glen, NY), who came in first in the 50 freestyle, and senior Molly Nichols (Baldwinsville, NY), who won the 100 backstroke.
On the men’s side, Matt Szrama (Orchard Park, NY) won the 50 freestyle and 200 individual medley. Other winners for the men were senior Tom Brunt (Loundonville, NY), Tom Manzo (Liverpool, NY), who won the 800 freestyle, and Tom Conway (East Wenatchee, WA), who came in first in the 100 backstroke.
Both the men and women also came in first in the 400 medley relay. Clarkson is now off until the New York State meets in mid-to-late February.
