NICK JONES SCORES 23 AS KNIGHTS MOVE TO 7-1 IN UCAA WITH 82-64 WIN OVER VASSAR

Poughkeepsie, NY - Freshman forward Nick Jones (Washington, DC) scored a game-high 23 points on 7-for-11 shooting as the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team improved to 7-1 in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) with a 82-64 win over Vassar College Friday night.

The Golden Knights improved to 13-6 overall and 7-1 in the UCAA with the win while Vassar falls to 3-15 and 0-8. Clarkson faces Rensselaer on Saturday afternoon in a matchup between the top two teams in the UCAA. The Golden Knights won the first game 66-58 two weeks ago in Potsdam.

Junior forward John Adamchick (Averill Park, NY) enjoyed his best game of the season with 14 points on 7-for-11 shooting. Adamchick also grabbed five rebounds in 26 minutes. Senior guard Kevin Williams (Syracuse, NY) added 10 points and seven rebounds while freshman EJ Harrison (Troy, NY) scored eight points and made six steals for the Golden Knights.

Jud Winton scored 14 to lead the Brewers while Seth Taft and Kyle Dickmann added 13 and 11 points, respectively.

The Golden Knights had little trouble scoring against the Vassar defense, shooting 58.3 percent in the first half and 55.6 percent in the second half for a cumulative 56.9 percent from the floor in the game.
