Geneva, NY - After holding their opponent scoreless through the first 65 minutes, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team finally succombed to the high-powered offense of William Smith, falling 4-0 to the Herons in an Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) league game Friday afternoon.
The Herons scored two times between the 65-minute and 70-minute marks to take a 2-0 lead. The Golden Knights changed tactics to put more pressure on the Herons with their offense, but William Smith was able to take advantage with two more scores late in the game.
Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ) made nine saves for the Golden Knights, who fell to 3-6-2 overall and 1-3 in the UCAA this season. Clarkson returns to action tomorrow when they visit Hamilton.
